What stays on your device

When you connect a polling platform, phantom stores the session credentials it needs (such as your browser session cookies) locally on your Mac. These are used only to join the sessions you schedule. They are not transmitted to us or to any third party.

Your class schedule, settings, and monthly usage counts are also stored locally on your device.

What we collect

phantom requires an account so we can verify which subscription you have. When you create an account we collect the information needed to manage it — such as your email address — and we use it to confirm your subscription status and keep your access working. On this website (schoolphantom.com) we use privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics to understand traffic — for example, how many people visited a page. This website analytics does not identify you personally.

What we don't do

We do not sell your data. We do not build advertising profiles. We do not read or store the content of your polls on our servers.

Removing your data

Your credentials and settings live on your Mac, so you can remove them at any time by disconnecting a platform inside phantom or by uninstalling the app.

For the account information we hold (such as your email and subscription status), you can request deletion at any time by emailing us. We will close your account and remove the associated data, except where we are required to keep it to meet a legal or accounting obligation.

Changes

We may update this policy as phantom evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new "last updated" date.
