Yes — phantom is free to use during beta. You create a free account so we can manage your subscription, and there is nothing to pay while it is in beta.

Which class polling tools does it support? +

PollEverywhere is live today. Kahoot, Mentimeter, Slido, iClicker, Top Hat, and Quizlet support are on the way — each has a page where you can join the waitlist.

Does it work on Apple Silicon and Intel Macs? +

Yes. phantom is a universal app that runs natively on both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs running macOS 12 Monterey or later.

Do I need to keep my browser or laptop open? +

No. phantom runs from the macOS menu bar. Once your session is connected and your classes are scheduled, it joins and answers on its own.

How does phantom connect to my classes? +

You export your existing browser session into phantom in one click. Your credentials stay on your Mac and are used only to join the sessions you schedule.
